OUR MISSION IS
to guide individuals back to themselves—or rather,
back Home.
Through the process of co-creation, I help my clients find more peace and balance in their lives. I assist them in letting go of what is no longer serving them. Through intuitive coaching, mindfulness, nutrition, and meditation (as well as other supportive modalities), I help them attain healthier relationships with their minds, bodies, and spirits. I’m here to guide seekers into living more confident, adventurous lives—while being grounded, peacefully, within.
Who am I?
I’m an ambivert. (No need to Google it. It simply means I have characteristics of both extroverts and introverts.) I need a lot of alone time, but I also crave social interaction. Each day I work on showing up: first for myself, then for others. I’ve found the more grounded I am within myself, the deeper and more intimate my connections are with those around me. I’ve also found that purpose fuels intention. (And intention, my friend, is everything!) Similarly, a life worth living is the foundation of mindfulness.
I’m perfectly imperfect and I ask myself each day: “How can I be of service?”
I don’t know about you, but I make mistakes. I prefer to call them “growth steps,” however. (Perspective is key!) When it comes to “growth steps,” I hold myself accountable when I make them. For my own expansion, it’s important for me to recognize when I’ve stepped out of alignment and get back into a higher vibrational state. Like you, I’m human. I don’t know it all. As certain as I am about being a guide, I’m just as happily a “forever student” on this beautiful path we call life.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
— Wayne Dyer
I find absolute JOY and pure BLISS exploring the profound MEANING of life. I think about this when I’m hiking a trail, sitting on the sand watching the waves crashing, or contemplating what toppings to put on my next mushroom taco. (Yummy!) Situations and people in life, especially the tough ones, aren’t always as they appear. We can find lessons in, and learn from, all of them. Really, why should we see any human or situation as “bad” when we can go inwards, change the way we look at them, and expand our inner consciousness? I like to say: we must deconstruct before we reconstruct.
Every Emotion Tells a POWERFUL Story.
I haven’t always thought this way. I wouldn’t be here speaking about change if I hadn’t also felt pain, misery, unhappiness, depression, and a lack of purpose or motivation. It’s BECAUSE I used to live a life without meaning or fulfillment, and BECAUSE I often felt unworthy, and BECAUSE I used to resort to substances and emotional eating to cope and escape that I finally had to say ENOUGH! … and turn inward. I had to really sit with myself and feel “all the feels” without numbing any of them. I had to sit with the questions, unsure of whether (or not) I’d receive any answers. It was in these moments that I realized that I, alone, was responsible for my happiness. I also learned that I had to break free from a lot of the lower vibrational habits that I’d unconsciously absorbed from society.
Life being what it is, challenging experiences still happen all the time. But unlike my former self, I now choose to find gratitude for each and every experience. Even when pain strikes, or loss kicks-off the natural grieving process, I sit with it for as long as I need to. I work to release and let go, and rid my ego. I’m determined to find beauty within these events to transform my experiences of them. That’s what makes me passionate about what I do. I’ve been through the “lows” and come out stronger. I want to help you do the same. Because, what good is learning all of this if I can’t share it?
For instance, I now better understand the usefulness of mindfulness and balance. In the past, I’ve run myself ragged working multiple jobs while also going to school. While this “hustle” mindset can be motivating, it doesn’t always work long-term. Burnout happens. If this sounds familiar, I can show you how to chase your dreams while still taking care of YOU.
A lot of my coaching isn’t just about overcoming challenges, it’s also about deliberately relishing the good life. For me, seeing people in their aligned state is exhilarating! It’s why I’m dedicated to helping my clients cultivate their happiness, live their passions, and truly love themselves and others.
At the end of the day, we’re not defined by our status, income, job title, degree, appearance, or possessions. What matters is how much we give and how much we love. This is what freedom FEELS like. I’m grateful for my past because without it I’m not sure I would have learned what I needed to learn to EXPAND my conscious awareness—and in turn, help YOU do the same. If you’re open to receiving, I’m more than happy to be a catalyst for your journey. Consider me the wind beneath your wings to a more fulfilling life; you just gotta be ready to FLY!
In 2010, while heavily engaged in my studies, I fell in love with Nutrition, Health, & Wellness. I also discovered a passion for life coaching. Since 2016, I’ve been working professionally within the fields of nutrition and mental health. My specializations are in eating disorders, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and other comorbid disorders. I’ve worked in residential treatment centers, non-profit organizations, and independently. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and Dietetics from California State University. I also have a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States.
Throughout my experience in nutrition and mental health, I’ve been drawn to alternative healing modalities that I also felt were worth exploring. I’ve completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Training (MBSR) by Jon Kabat-Zinn. I’m currently working on obtaining my 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification, as well as going through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield; upon completion I’ll obtain certification through the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley.
My Professional Journey
my philosophy
As a coach, much of my former work had been steeped in nutrition, functional medicine, and mental health. I realized along the way, however, that there is so much more to one’s personal evolution. That’s where Groundwithin came from. I wanted to not only integrate these various disciplines, but also expand upon them. I’ve created a method of coaching that combines the Mind, Body, and Spirit to help people find healing, purpose, and their own soulful expansion.
Let’s face it: society is moving fast. It’s common for people to feel lost in the chaos of uncertainty; or unbalanced and unhappy; or frustrated and angry. While experiencing emotions is part of being human, we sometimes let unhealthy ones linger far too long. Perhaps we’re simply unaware of how to move past them. Or we don’t fully realize how negatively they’re affecting us. The thoughts we put into our minds and the foods we put into our bodies directly impact our daily lives. I’m here to teach you to be more mindful of what you choose to consume. Simply stated: what you put into your mind, body, or spirit … matters. This holistic approach to one’s overall wellness is the spirit of Groundwithin.
The concept behind its philosophy is that all of the answers you are seeking lie within you. YOU are your own healer. I am here to facilitate the growing process and guide you to higher states of being. Through wisdom and intuitive coaching, I’ll show you how to align yourself with your innate power … or help you experience firsthand the benefits of mindfulness and meditation. I may help you acquire a better understanding of nutrition or what you can do to enrich your physical health. I may also use exposure experiences. You gotta get uncomfortable to get comfortable.
